Day 203/365 – iPhone Lens Flare
Some photographers would frown on the use of lens flare in a photo. I think the effect of lens flare is cool. So to all you photographers that don’t like it (insert raspberry sound here) 😉
Day 202/365 – Goodbye ReplayTV, Hello Tivo
In ten days, our old digital video recorders will be out of service because the company, ReplayTV, told us they are discontinuing the channel guide which makes it pretty much worthless without it. As of July 31, 2011 ReplayTV is shutting down the service that ruled the households television for many many years. At the time, ReplayTV was 10 times better than Tivo in my opinion, but now that that it’s pretty much the only choice out there for a high quality DVR service, we have ordered two and they will be here tomorrow. I know I could have gone with Charter Communications DVR, but honestly, that company get’s way too much money from me and I don’t plan on giving them another cent, except for the cable cards they are renting me for the Tivo’s. Anyways, as part of the promotion, Tivo sent us this plush toy (they say it’s worth $15.00, hahahahah). The kids love it, so that’s ok by me.
Day 201/365 – What Are These?
I was going through my various pictures that I have recently taken, and I came across this one. I can’t remember what these are called. Can you help me? The first person that answers this will get the satisfaction of helping others, or at least me. 😉 Yes I know I can Google this, but that takes all the fun out of it.
Day 200/365 – Dragon Fly
Here is my first attempt at photographing an insect. I have to admit, it’s not an easy task. Learning how to accomplish this should be fun. Look for more in future posts.
Day 199/365 – Pond at Watson Park
Here is a photo of Watson Park Pond on a beautiful sunny day. I tried to focus mainly on the reflection of the sky and trees in the rippling water.
Day 198/365 – My iPhone Self Portrait
Look at that, I didn’t crack my iPhone lens when taking my self portrait. There will be others in the future, but don’t let that discourage you to look at my pictures everyday.
Day 197/365 – Shadow On The Grass
Here is another shadow of yours truly.
Day 196/365 – Cub Scout Campfire
Today was my son’s last day at Cub Scout Summer Camp at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation. The closing ceremony included a campfire. I gave it a little artsy look. I hope you like it. 🙂
Day 195/365 – Take A Gander At This
I was at Watson Park in Marlborough MA today during my lunch break to try to capture some wildlife. This was the only one around and he was on the other side of the pond. Luckily I had my 300mm lens with me.
Day 194/365 – Paved Path
Yet another hiking photo. I liked the way the trees hug the path further down almost creating a tunnel.
