I have\u00c2\u00a0recently had a couple of calls about\u00c2\u00a0this, so\u00c2\u00a0I thought I would\u00c2\u00a0create this post in an effort to help a few of you.\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n

If you experience wierd issues with your Windows XP desktop\u00c2\u00a0that causes it to look like a white background and it mentions the word ‘recovery’ on the desktop, then this article could help you.\u00c2\u00a0 This issues is caused by a desktop web component that does not have a valid URL address that it points too.\u00c2\u00a0 I find that this feature is a useless feature for the majority of the users out there.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/font><\/p>\n

    Right Click on the Desktop and select properties<\/font><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Then select the Desktop tab at the top.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Click the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcCustomize Desktop\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 button<\/font><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Select the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcWEB\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 tab<\/font>\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Uncheck everything in the list then click \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcOK\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/font>\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Click ‘OK’ again.<\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00c2\u00a0I hope this resolves your issue.<\/font><\/p>\n
